En images: la collection Hubert de Givenchy atteint 114 millions d’euros aux enchères

La collection personnelle du couturier français Hubert de Givenchy a été vendue aux enchères plus de 114 millions d’euros à Paris, deux fois plus que son estimation basse, a annoncé lundi Christie’s qui a organisé cette dispersion.

Environ 800 lots « phares », allant de tableaux ou sculptures de maîtres à du mobilier Régence exceptionnel du XVIIIe siècle, étaient proposés lors de quatre ventes physiques aux enchères du 14 au 17 juin. Deux ventes en ligne portant sur 478 lots de moindre importance s’achèveront jeudi.

Les enchères physiques totalisent 114,4 millions d’euros, soit plus du double de l’estimation basse (50 millions) et 19 nouveaux records du monde concernant des meubles anciens de David Roentgen, Domenico Piola et Piero Dorazio, a précisé Christie’s dans un communiqué.

Le lot phare, la Femme qui marche d’Alberto Giacometti, a été vendu 27 millions d’euros, devenant l’oeuvre la plus chère vendue aux enchères en France depuis le début de l’année et établissant un record pour une oeuvre de la période surréaliste de l’artiste.

Vingt lots de la collection Givenchy ont été vendus au-dessus d’un million d’euros et cinq au-dessus de cinq millions (Joan Mirò, Pablo Picasso, une paire de girandoles attribuées à Pierre-Philippe Thomire).

Des acheteurs du monde entier ont participé à cette vente aux enchères dont 57% en provenance d’Europe et du Moyen-Orient, 30% du continent américain, et 12% d’Asie.
